Important Notice: Allahabad Bank merged with Indian Bank on April 1, 2020. All Allahabad Bank accounts, branches, and services are now part of Indian Bank.

The Merger

On August 30, 2019, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the merger of Allahabad Bank with Indian Bank. The Union Cabinet approved the merger on March 4, 2020, and it became effective on April 1, 2020.

If you were an Allahabad Bank customer:

  • Your accounts have been automatically transferred to Indian Bank
  • All former Allahabad Bank branches now operate as Indian Bank branches
  • Your account numbers and login credentials were migrated to Indian Bank’s systems
  • Use Indian Bank’s digital platforms for online banking

Part of Larger PSB Consolidation
