Crane Bank Uganda ❤️ Log In

Crane Bank Log In is no longer a separate banking service. Bank of Uganda placed Crane Bank into statutory management in October 2016 after finding it insolvent, then resolved it in early 2017 through a purchase of assets and assumption of liabilities by dfcu Bank.

Former Crane Bank depositors were moved into the dfcu relationship and could access their deposits. A former customer should now ask dfcu Bank to identify the account and, when eligible, use dfcu QuickBanking through QuickOnline, QuickApp or the *240# QuickCode service.

How to Log In

For Crane Bank Log In, do not search for an active Crane Bank portal. Type dfcugroup.com yourself and choose QuickBanking, or type internet.dfcugroup.com for QuickOnline. Confirm that dfcu recognizes the former Crane account before registration or password recovery.

dfcu QuickOnline and QuickApp

  1. Type dfcugroup.com into the browser yourself.
  2. Open QuickBanking and choose QuickOnline or the official QuickApp.
  3. Confirm the dfcu Bank identity before entering information.
  4. Enter the QuickBanking username and password for the recognized dfcu profile.
  5. Complete TrustFactor or other verification only for a session you started.
  6. Review balances, account names and recent activity.
  7. Sign out completely when finished.

dfcu QuickCode *240#

  1. Use the mobile number registered with the dfcu account.
  2. Dial *240# and choose the required language.
  3. Select registration only if dfcu recognizes the former account.
  4. Enter the requested account number and National ID or passport details privately.
  5. Create and confirm the five-digit M-PIN.
  6. Check the confirmation message before transacting.
  7. Keep the M-PIN secret and end the session after use.

What Happened to Crane Bank?

Bank of Uganda’s 2017 supervision report says Crane Bank was insolvent when it entered statutory management in October 2016. The regulator resolved the bank during the first quarter of 2017 through a transaction in which dfcu Bank purchased assets and assumed liabilities.

Bank of Uganda reported that the resolution occurred without loss to depositors. dfcu has also stated that former Crane Bank depositors could transact and access deposits after the business reopened under dfcu. Crane Bank therefore is a historical account origin, not a current login destination.

  1. Do not use an old Crane Bank login page.
  2. Treat dfcu Bank as the first account-tracing contact.
  3. Keep old statements and account documents.
  4. Confirm whether the product and liability transferred to dfcu.
  5. Do not create a duplicate profile before tracing the old account.
  6. Ask dfcu to identify the current account status and branch.
  7. Use Bank of Uganda only for regulatory or unresolved legacy guidance.

Confirm the Former Account Before Registration

dfcu’s current account-opening guidance tells staff to check whether a person already has an account with Crane Bank, Global Trust or dfcu before creating another profile. That makes account tracing important for former Crane customers who have not used the relationship for years.

Visit a dfcu branch with original identification when the account number, registered phone or customer record is uncertain. Ask whether the account is active, dormant, closed, restricted or missing updated customer information. A dormant account may require updated identity and contact details before digital access can be activated.

  1. Bring the National ID or passport used on the account.
  2. Bring any Crane Bank statement or account reference.
  3. Confirm the registered mobile number.
  4. Ask dfcu to search existing Crane and dfcu records.
  5. Update customer information when required.
  6. Confirm the current account number and status.
  7. Enroll digitally only after the relationship is identified.

Register, Recover, and Pair QuickBanking

dfcu QuickBanking uses shared credentials across QuickOnline and QuickApp. The current registration form requests the customer name, account number, National ID or passport, date of birth and mobile number. Enter those details only on the verified dfcu service.

QuickOnline provides password recovery. If recovery fails, dfcu publishes toll-free support at 0800 222 000. TrustFactor may be used for transaction approval; a customer without its recovery code should ask dfcu to reset the profile and then pair it again.

  1. Use the account recognized by dfcu.
  2. Match identity and date-of-birth records exactly.
  3. Use the registered mobile number.
  4. Create a unique QuickBanking password.
  5. Request one recovery code at a time.
  6. Keep the TrustFactor recovery code private.
  7. Call dfcu when an old phone or missing recovery code blocks access.

Payments, Transfers, and Account Checks

QuickBanking supports account access, payments and transfers across its current channels. QuickCode *240# uses a five-digit M-PIN and can work on basic phones without airtime. QuickOnline and QuickApp share their own credentials.

Before repeating a payment or transfer, check the mini statement, pending approvals and confirmation messages. dfcu’s terms warn customers not to resend an instruction before checking statements and contacting the call centre. Save the reference for any transaction that remains uncertain.

  1. Confirm the current account and available balance.
  2. Verify the beneficiary and amount.
  3. Use the correct QuickBanking channel.
  4. Approve only an instruction you initiated.
  5. Check pending approvals and the mini statement.
  6. Save the confirmation or error reference.
  7. Contact dfcu before repeating an uncertain transaction.

Legacy Disputes and Current Account Access

Legal disputes continued after the Crane Bank resolution, including proceedings involving Bank of Uganda, former shareholders, dfcu and former branch properties. Those disputes do not create a new Crane Bank online service and should not be used as a reason to enter credentials on a page claiming to restore Crane access.

A former depositor, borrower or other customer may have a product-specific question about what transferred. Ask dfcu to identify the serviced relationship and keep the response. If dfcu cannot locate the liability or the issue concerns the regulatory resolution itself, request formal guidance from Bank of Uganda.

  1. Separate public litigation from personal account servicing.
  2. Do not trust a supposed Crane reactivation portal.
  3. Ask dfcu to confirm whether the product transferred.
  4. Keep written account and payment records.
  5. Escalate unresolved regulatory questions to Bank of Uganda.
  6. Do not stop loan payments without written servicing instructions.
  7. Get professional advice for a material legal dispute.

Known Issues & Common Problems

Old Crane portal: Crane Bank has no current separate login; start with dfcu account tracing.

Account is not found: Ask dfcu to search existing Crane and dfcu records before opening another account.

Password recovery fails: Confirm the registered mobile number and call 0800 222 000 when self-recovery cannot work.

TrustFactor is unavailable: Use the recovery code or ask dfcu to reset and pair the profile again.

USSD PIN is rejected: Use the five-digit *240# M-PIN and follow the current reset prompts.

Transaction is uncertain: Check the mini statement and pending approvals before trying again.

Crane Bank Log In problems usually involve successor routing, old customer information, digital enrollment or transaction verification. Identify the former account and exact failing step before starting over. Preserve old documents, current error wording and transaction references for dfcu support.

Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Confirm that Crane Bank is a legacy institution.
  2. Ask dfcu to trace the former account.
  3. Update identity and registered phone details when required.
  4. Use QuickOnline, QuickApp or *240# correctly.
  5. Check the username and password once.
  6. Use the five-digit M-PIN only for QuickCode.
  7. Request one password reset or verification code.
  8. Check TrustFactor pairing and recovery status.
  9. Review the mini statement before repeating a transaction.
  10. Call 0800 222 000 when access remains unavailable.

An old brand is a routing problem. A missing account is a tracing problem. A rejected credential is an access problem. A missing TrustFactor approval is a pairing problem. An uncertain transfer is a transaction-status problem.

Security Tips

  • Type the dfcu address yourself.
  • Never share passwords, M-PINs or confirmation keys.
  • Do not follow a Crane account-reactivation link.
  • Use QuickBanking only on a trusted device and network.
  • Approve only transactions you initiated.
  • Keep TrustFactor and recovery codes private.
  • Review account activity regularly.
  • Report suspicious contact or transactions immediately.

dfcu says it does not request access codes, confirmation keys or PINs by email and does not invite customers to log in through an SMS link. Stop when a message creates urgency and contact dfcu independently.
