Intercontinental Bank, commonly referred to as Intercontinental, was a Nigerian commercial bank that operated from 1989 until it was acquired by Access Bank plc in 2013. Prior to its acquisition, Intercontinental Bank was one of the twenty-four commercial banks licensed by the Central Bank of Nigeria, the country’s banking regulator. Account Opening
If you’re outside Nigeria, you can open an account online with Intercontinental Bank if you already have a Bank Verification Number (BVN). Without a BVN, you’ll receive an account number, but the account will remain restricted until you complete the required documentation.
