Hong Kong Airlines Login

Become a member of Fortune Wings Club If you are an ICBC Hong Kong Airlines Visa Platinum cardholder (including companion cardholders) who is not already a member of the Fortune Wings Club (FWC), upon successfully applying the card, you automatically become a member of the Hong Kong Airlines frequent flyer program, Fortune Wings Club-FWC, earning FWC points to redeem free airline tickets or class upgrades. Year-round merchants: ICBC Hong Kong Airlines Visa Platinum cardholders may enjoy exclusive dining and shopping benefits with selected merchants all year round. Service is available for Cardholders who maintain a Hong Kong dollar savings account with ICBC (Asia) and have successfully applied for telephone banking services. Surprisingly, flights with Hong Kong Airlines and Virgin Australia also receive status-qualifying points which may be applied towards this Challenge, although I am not sure if I would recommend this.

For every eligible segment that you fly on Hainan Airlines, Grand China Air, Tianjin Airlines, Hong Kong Airlines, Fuzhou Airlines, Suparna Airlines, or Guangxi Beibu Gulf Airline, you may receive an extra points — most of us will likely fly on four flights on Hong Kong Airlines, so we will get 1,500 additional points. Or, if you really wanted (say, if you were in a position to get the Emirates Five Showers Award via JAL), you might transfer a few extra points on the longer flights. Earning means that you could transfer the shortest segment between Hong Kong and your end point back into Velocity, but it would be 3,000 miles most of the time. The charts are again based on distance, and you will get enough points to fly 2,000 miles business (or some short economy flights).

You will have paid 25,000 points in the Wings of Fortune Club, plus about $84 USD (at minimum) for this one flight in business class. I am fairly certain Fortune Wings Club passes through the fuel surcharges on award tickets from Etihad, meaning even for regional flights, you are probably paying at least several hundred dollars, should you decide to redeem at Etihad.

Most people are looking at other attributes like price, schedule, and quality of frequent flier program. Although Hong Kong Airlines uses HNA Groups frequent flier program, it is likely to not be as robust as the loyalty programs offered by some competitors.

As a newer carrier in a particular route, Hong Kong Airlines might frequently offer the lowest prices–that is the best way to fill seats–but Hong Kong Airlines is not in business to just undercut competitors. On the routes, Hong Kong Airlines will be competing against the seventy-year-old Cathay Pacific, and a number of American, Canadian, and European carriers, including Air Canada, British Airways, American, and United. On the sought-after trade routes, Cathay will have significantly more flights, since it has flights to Los Angeles and London four times per day – a crucial attribute for customers looking to get out the door once meetings are over. What was once a lucrative market segment — Chinese travelers from the mainland transferring in Hong Kong for flights in Hong Kong-North America and Europe — has dried up, with Chinese airlines starting to operate their own longer-haul flights.

Hong Kongs airlines will be using Pelesys qualification management system (QMS) to track, aggregate, and manage the qualifications of their flight attendants and cabin staff. Alongside the Pelesys QMS, Hong Kong airline flight attendants will adopt the Pelesys Electronic Training Record (ETR) system.

Recognizing Hong Kong Airlines warm hospitality and the quality of its on-board offerings, Hong Kong Airlines has been awarded Skytraxs much-admired 4 star rating for the fourth time since 2011, as well as the title Best Improved Airline in the World by Skytrax in 2014.
